Chartered Senior Musculoskeletal and Sport Physiotherapist
Chartered Physiotherapist specialist at assessing, diagnosis and treating of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.

My treatment methods include manipulation, spinal manipulation, Video Gait Analysis and strength & conditioning exercise programs.
Objective and approach
My goal is to guide patients towards a complete recovery, improving mobility, reducing pain and preventing relapses, offering effective and permanent solutions.
The origin of PhysioSophy
Dr. Piazza’s path into physiotherapy began in an unconventional way. After earning a degree in International Political Science in 2003, he redirected his passion toward human movement, biomechanics, and holistic well-being.
In 2010, he graduated in Physiotherapy, merging clinical science with a comprehensive vision of movement and care.
He began his practice in Trieste, treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions and working closely with both amateur and professional athletes, including footballers and martial artists.
He collaborated with numerous sports clubs and specialists in orthopedics, sports medicine, and physical medicine and rehabilitation.
Alongside clinical practice, he cultivated his interest in mindful movement, teaching Tai Chi and Yoga, disciplines that continue to inform his integrative therapeutic model.
International Expertise
In 2015, Dr. Piazza moved to Scotland, joining one of Edinburgh’s most renowned rehabilitation clinics. There, he deepened his skills in medical acupuncture, running rehabilitation, and spinal manipulation techniques. His expertise expanded to include chiropractic spinal adjustments and osteopathic manipulations, refining his integrated, evidence-based approach to manual therapy.
In 2019, he founded the first PhysioSophy clinic in Scotland, specializing in spinal care, sports physiotherapy, and runner rehabilitation
Clinical Collaborations and Teaching
Dr. Piazza worked with elite athletes at Oriam – Scotland’s National Sports Performance Centre, supporting high-level rugby players with a combination of advanced manual therapy and targeted rehabilitation. At the same time, he began training healthcare professionals in the UK and abroad in running gait analysis, injury prevention, and evidence-based rehabilitation protocols.
Return to Trieste: PhysioSophy Italy
In June 2024, Dr. Piazza returned to Trieste, bringing over a decade of international clinical expertise to open PhysioSophy’s new Italian headquarters. Located in the heart of the city, the clinic is dedicated to advanced spinal care, chronic tendon disorders, and runner-specific rehabilitation via the Runner’s Clinic.
At PhysioSophy Trieste, Dr. Piazza combines scientific research, manual therapy, and personalized care to offer long-term, effective solutions for patients suffering from chronic pain, spinal conditions, and sports injuries.
