Dr. Luca V. Piazza - Physiosophy founder
Chartered Senior Musculoskeletal and Sport Physiotherapist
Chartered Physiotherapist specialist at assessing, diagnosis and treating of musculoskeletal and sports injuries.
Treatment methods
My treatment methods include manipulation, spinal manipulation, Video Gait Analysis and strength & conditioning exercise programs.
Objective and approach
My goal is to guide patients towards a complete recovery, improving mobility, reducing pain and preventing relapses, offering effective and permanent solutions.
The Story of PhysioSophy
My career began with a path seemingly far from physiotherapy: in 2003, I earned a degree in Political Science with an International focus. However, my passion for movement, biomechanics, and well-being led me to embark on a new journey, culminating in 2010 with a degree in Physiotherapy.
During the first four years of my career, I worked as a freelance physiotherapist in Trieste, treating both patients with musculoskeletal conditions and athletes, particularly football players and martial artists. I actively collaborated with sports clubs in football, track and field, and martial arts, as well as with orthopedic doctors, sports medicine specialists, and physiatrists. At the same time, I deepened my understanding of movement by teaching Tai Chi and Yoga.
In 2015, I moved to Scotland, where I joined Edinburgh’s most renowned rehabilitation clinic as an associate freelance physiotherapist. Here, I honed my skills, specializing in Medical Acupuncture, Running Rehabilitation, and Spinal Manipulation. After four years of experience and professional growth, I decided to take the next step: I opened my own clinic, PhysioSophy, specializing in sports and spinal physiotherapy.
In the following years, I continued to collaborate with leading-edge clinics in Scotland, particularly with the National Sports Performance Centre Oriam, the primary training hub for the Scottish national rugby team. At the same time, I dedicated myself to teaching, training healthcare professionals in running rehabilitation both in England and internationally.
In June 2024, I returned to Trieste, bringing with me the experience gained from years of working with high-level athletes and cutting-edge techniques. I opened the Italian branch of PhysioSophy, where I continue to provide advanced physiotherapy and chiropractic services in the musculoskeletal and sports fields, as well as a Runner’s Clinic dedicated to the prevention and rehabilitation of running-related injuries.
PhysioSophy is more than just a clinic: it is a place where science, movement, and the philosophy of well-being come together to offer patients a highly personalized path to care and performance.
